The Friends of the Belgrade Public Library (FOBPL) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The purpose of this organization is to establish a closer relationship between the Belgrade Public Library and the people it serves within the surrounding community; to promote interest in its resources, services and needs; to work in partnership with the trustees in providing services and programs and developing facilities that support and enrich the surrounding community; and to stimulate and receive gifts, endowments and bequests for the benefit of the library.

The FOBPL has acquired property on the Depot Road to be used as the future site of the Belgrade Public Library. Please see the Renovation Project tab for more details. We will be paying the costs of the operation and maintenance of the building and land during the term of the lease. We will need to raise money every year to pay for the maintenance and repairs of the building, grounds, well, septic, plowing, driveway, janitorial service, lawn mowing, utilities, heat, liability and property and casualty insurance covering the building and land.

 We have wonderful fundraising events each year. Please see our calendar for all of our exciting events. A couple of our larger fundraising events are the 5K Road Race and the Golf Tournament. Please see the tab for each event for more details.  

Our monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Center For All Seasons on Route 27 in Belgrade at 6:30 pm. Please join us!
